User Survey Feedback Analysis: Period of April 2026 to June 2026

Seven responses were received between April 2026 and June 2026. Considering cumulative responses to date:

  • Forty four percent of respondents were from the public sector (slight increase), followed by 19% from academia/researchers (same) and 17% from private sector users (slight increase), 13% from private citizens (slight decrease), 6% from ENGOs (slight decrease) and 2% from Indigenous communities (same).
  • Forty six percent of respondents reside in Ontario (same), followed by 12% from Alberta (slight decrease), 11% from British Columbia (same), 9% from Quebec (slight increase), 6% from Manitoba (same), 4% from Nova Scotia (slight decrease), 3% from Prince Edward Island (same), 3% from Newfoundland and Labrador (same), 2% from New Brunswick (slight decrease), 2% from Saskatchewan (same) and 1% from Yukon (new).
  • Reason for using the Open Science and Data Platform:
    • 27% to “understand and/or better manage cumulative effects” (same),
    • 24% “for background or insight on projects related to my work/research” (decrease),
    • 13% “for background or insight on information relevant to studies” (slight decrease),
    • 13% to “facilitate participation in impact assessments and/or regulatory processes” (increase),
    • 6% stated “for background or insight on information for the purpose of social causes and spreading awareness of cumulative effects-related issues” (slight decrease), and
    • 16% stated “for other reasons” (slight increase).
  • Users were ‘very satisfied’ or ‘satisfied’ with the following features of the Open Science and Data Platform in the following proportions:
    • Filter Classification (72%, same),
    • Learn about Development Activities section (71%, same),
    • Search Function (70%, slight decrease),
    • Learn about Cumulative Effects (67%, same), and
    • Map Creation function (63%, same).
  • Eighty percent of respondents were either ‘very satisfied’ or ‘satisfied’ with the “Relevancy of the content” (slight decrease). Seventy eight percent were either ‘very satisfied’ or ‘satisfied’ with the “Quality of the content” (slight decrease). Seventy seven percent were either ‘very satisfied’ or ‘satisfied’ with the “Accessibility of the content” (decrease).
