User Survey Feedback Summary: Period of May 2022 to August 2022

Eighteen responses were received for the period of May 2022 to August 2022. 

  • Close to 50% of respondents were from the public sector, followed by close to 20% from academia and close to 10% from private sector researchers.
  • Fifty percent of respondents were from Ontario, followed by 17% from B.C., with the rest equally spread among other jurisdictions in Canada.
  • Reason for using the platform:
    • 25% “to understand and/or better manage cumulative effects”,
    • 18% “to facilitate participation in impact assessments and/or regulatory processes” (government-led),
    • 13% "for background or insight on information for the purpose of social causes and spreading awareness of cumulativeeffects related issues”,
    • 10% “for background or insight on information relevant to studies”,  
    • 6% “for background or insight on projects related to my work/research”, and
    • 25% “for other reasons”.
  • User were ‘very satisfied’ or ‘satisfied’ with the Learn about Development Activities (80%) and Learn about Cumulative Effects sections (67%), as well as with the Filter Classification (70%) and Map Creation (60%) functions.
  • Eighty eight percent were either ‘very satisfied’ or ‘satisfied’ with the “Relevancy of the content” as well as the “Accessibility of the content”. Fifty seven percent were either ‘very satisfied’ or ‘satisfied’ with the “Quality of the content”.
