User Survey Feedback Summary: Period of September 2022 to November 2022

  • Just over 50% of respondents were from the public sector (up slightly), followed by 15% from academia (down slightly) and 10% from private sector users (down slightly).
  • Just over 40% of respondents were from Ontario, followed by 10% from B.C. and 8% from Manitoba, with the rest equally spread among other jurisdictions in Canada.
  • Reason for using the platform:
    • 32% “to understand and/or better manage cumulative effects” (increase),
    • 12% “for background or insight on information relevant to studies” (slight increase),
    • 9% “to facilitate participation in impact assessments and/or regulatory processes” (decrease),
    • 9% “for background or insight on information relevant to my studies (slight increase), and
    • 9% “for background or insight on projects related to my work/research” (slight increase).
  • Users were mostly ‘very satisfied’ or ‘satisfied’ with the following features of the platform:
    • Learn about Development Activities section (73%, down slightly),
    • Learn about Cumulative Effects section (64%, down slightly),
    • Filter Classification (64%, down slightly),
    • Search Function (60%, up slightly), and
    • Map Creation function (57%, down slightly).
  • Eighty four percent were either ‘very satisfied’ or ‘satisfied’ with the “Relevancy of the content”, and eighty two percent with the “Accessibility of the content” (both down slightly). Sixty six percent were either ‘very satisfied’ or ‘satisfied’ with the “Quality of the content” (increase).
